Linux-Server Petition

Auf der englischen Webseite Petitiononline.com könnt ihr jetzt eine Petition finden, die Stimmen zum Release einer offiziellen Linux-Server Version von Electronic Arts sucht.

Bereits sechs Monate nach dem Verkaufsstart von BF1942 gibt es zwar schon ein Addon und erste inoffizielle Modifikationen, aber in Sache offizielle Linux-Server Version hat sich leider noch nicht sehr viel getan. Nur eine Person arbeitet derzeit unabhängig von EA an dem Linux-Server. Aus diesem Grund ist leider auch zur Zeit nur eine unstabiele Beta-Version des Servers erhältlich.

EA Games does not appear to care about the Linux Server community when it comes to support for gaming. Battlefield 1942 has been out for more than six months. EA Games, at first, continually promised to release a Linux server for the game. No official Linux server has been released by EA Games. There is one person working on a Linux server, by himself, with little or no support from EA Games. We, the undersigned, are asking EA Games to support the Linux community and release an official Linux BF1942 server binary, as well as continue to give support to the Linux server community.
