Die Premium Beta ist in vollem Gange. Das nächste Update ist quasi schon um die Ecke :)

We also of course wanted to show off some of the exciting new things the team are continuing to create.

As ‘Peeked’ last week, there is now a new type of star port in game – the Orbis.  Orbis stations first appeared in the game Frontier, and are even bigger than the Coriolis – that outer wheel has a diameter of 8km.  They are much more complex structures, and hence more expensive to construct.

We will also have several new systems opened up. The systems currently open in Premium Beta 1 are close to the galactic plane and so the bright core of the galaxy, which has a very high density of stars, is obscured by enormous dust clouds. The system in the following screenshot is several light years above the galactic plane – you’ll notice the improved view this gives of the galactic core as we are able to look over those dust clouds.

So denke ich muss es mir nun auch kaufen... bis morgen gibt es noch die Premium Beta aber im Grunde ist es ja ausreichend die normale Beta zu kaufen da die quasi um die Ecke steht? Und dann evtl noch den Lifetime Expansion Pass oben drauf? :kritisch:

5 Tage noch  :aww: Ich werd nochmal meine Anaconda rausholen und ein bisschen Ärger machen. Für die Beta 1 ist eh ein großer Wipe angesetzt.

Denke mal es wird ne Friendlist geben mit dem Commander Namen. Wir sollten ne Liste machen um uns gegenseitig zu finden. Ich fang mal an:

Übrigens gibt es den Lifetime Expansion pass noch bis 29.7 Wer überlegt längerfristig mitzuspielen, sollte unbedingt zu schlagen. Einzelne Expansions werden eher so um die 20 - 30 € kosten und traditionellen Umfang haben (Keine Mini DLCs sondern richtige Erweiterungen). Es sind schon 4 Stück angegkündigt.

To Launch, And Beyond with the Lifetime Expansion Pass Elite: Dangerous is on track to launch in late 2014 (Q4). 
 
But that won’t stop development.  We plan to continue to significantly enhance the game via further expansions after the launch date, using the same incremental development philosophy that we’ve used so far.
 
Major new features will include planetary landings and even walking around inside ships, stations, and planet surfaces with time.
 
For those who have a Lifetime Expansion Pass (included in Premium Beta and Alpha, and also still available here until 29th July) all such significant expansion will be included.  Those without the Lifetime Expansion Pass will be charged for each expansion as they are released.
 
We have made no secret that our ultimate ambition is to be able to land on the surface of planets, as you were able to in the other Elite sequels Frontier and Frontier: First Encounters
 
We want this feature to push the boundaries as we believe we are doing in other areas ofElite: Dangerous already, like space flight, combat, trading, sound, online, visual fidelity etc.
 
 
That means rich, varied experiences.  Not just landing pads, but rich content on the surfaces, surface vehicles, the ability to stash things there, to explore. Clearly ‘doing it right’ like this will take time, but we have a plan and will get there via a series of meaningful releases.
 
We believe that each stage will be incredible, and the result truly breathtaking. What you will see on the worlds will be a mix of procedurally generated content, particularly the landscapes, cloudscapes, compositions and so on, mixed with hand-crafted elements.
 
 
We also plan to allow you to get up out of your seat and walk around your ship. You can see the level of attention and thought that has already been given to the ship interiors from these ship cockpit views in this video:
 

Of course walking round your ship will be nice, but it is the just springboard for a very significant expansion of gameplay – you will be able to experience the inside of starports and interact with other players and AI characters, and even board other people’s ships in space and take them by force, as shown in this concept piece.

Of course this will be further expanded to include walking around on the surfaces of planets too.
 
Alpha and Premium Beta customers, and those who have already bought the £35 Lifetime Expansion Pass alongside either Beta or the full game, will have access to all these features and updates for as long as we create them at no further cost.
 
This means that if we are as successful as we hope to be, you will still be benefiting from the fantastic early support you gave us for a long time to come.
 
On 29th July the Lifetime Expansion Pass will no longer be available to buy in the store shop, to coincide with the launch of Beta 1.
 
So if you are planning to join the Beta or buy the final game and want to add the Lifetime Expansion Pass, you now have until 29th July to get automatic access to all future major paid-for expansions of Elite: Dangerous for £35.

Ich stelle mir die Frage ob der SP ein verbessertes X darstellt und der MP eine super Ergänzung ist, oder ob es ein MP ist welches den SP wie BF nur als Ergänzung hat.

Multiplayer mit Singleplayer Missionen maybe? Ein besseres Freelancer würde es eher treffen denke ich. Ist doch das gleiche wie bei Star Citizen.

Der MP ist im prinzip als wens du X spielst nur halt in einer riesigen Galaxie auf einem Server mit anderen Leuten. Da die Welt aber so enorm groß ist trifft man nicht andauernt auf andere leute. Gibt ja auch npc Schiffe.

Ich denke der SP wird dann einfach nur das selbe bloß offline für sich alleine oder zum testen sein. Oder man kann Missionen wie aktuell die combat missions der beta spielen.

Haupt feature des Spiels wird der MP sein.

Soweit ich weiß gibt es keinen richtigen SP Offline Mode. Auch im Singleplayer werden die Marktdaten vom Live Server gezogen und die Events entsprechend umgesetzt. Es werden jedoch alle Spieler durch NPCs ersetzt und man spielt quasi Singeplayer Online. 

 

Durch die Friendlist sollten aber auch reine Coop Games möglich sein. Man kann wohl genau konfigurieren, wer alles in dem eigenen Spiel auftauchen kann.

 

Morgen sind wir schlauer!
